Medusa: Villain or Victim?
Medusa is often seen as a monster, but I’d say her story is one of deep misunderstanding and injustice. Once a beautiful maiden, she was cursed by Athena after being wronged by Poseidon in the goddess's temple, a punishment that feels undeserved and cruel. Instead of being remembered as a victim of circumstance, she’s portrayed as a villain for simply defending herself. Medusa’s tale is a tragic reminder of how society often overlooks the humanity behind the so-called monsters.
What do you think, is she a villain or a victim?
